Happy New Year

Life goes on at Marathon....We are actually doing bits of this an' that as in boat stuff.....People are trying to get weather windows to get to the Bahamas and a few other places.....there's been a few and quite a few have taken them but Boot Key Harbour is like Vero Beach (Velcro Beach ) and Georgetown ( Chicken Harbour ) People get here with good intentions but get comfortable and figure they'll do all that next year.
As for us ,as you know,we like it here (the US ) and ain't goin' 'til we have to . We'll look for windows after Feb 2nd to get outa Dodge. Go and do a Bahamas run and then head up to New York and New England and any other News we come across.

Meanwhile we spent a day snorkeling out on Sombrero reef on Howard and Barbara's cat  Island Fever.

New Years eve we just had to drive down to Key West to see the madness. New York drops a giant ball. Key west drops a 'Wench ' at the Schooner Bar and a giant Conch shell at Sloppy Joe's .It also has a giant Key Lime Pie dropping into a giant Martguerita.........but you can't see em all so we ended up at the average sized Drag Queen sitting in a giant Red Slipper.....and of course getting dropped...eventually.

But that was at the end of it.
In the afternoon we wandered around and talked to pirates
Visited the celebrity "graveyard " with Howard and Barb.and Ron (who we cruised with a bit back in 08)and Kim . That's Ernest Hemingway they're looking at.

                                                    A genuine Indian palm reader!!!!

Sunset at Mallory Square where all the street entertainers and cruise ships hang out.
And a little bit of sillyness at the costume shop.

AND OF COURSE.................STICK YER HEAD IN THAT DARLIN'
I will work out why verticle photos get uploaded on their side......one of these days but enough for now.
Be assured I will ,at least , keep butting in on unsuspecting and some expectant bands.
Some one's got to do it.
